What Does a Sustainability Surveyor do?

• As a Sustainability Project Officer (referred to as the Retrofit Assessor below), you will be working at the forefront of the Energy Efficiency aross the UK.
• You will be assessing buildings and producing reports, either in the form of Energy Performance Certificates, or retrofit energy assessment reports.
• As part of this work, you’ll be talking with residents to better understand their energy use and challenges, and informing residents of potential energy efficiency solutions and savings.

We're looking for Trainee Retrofit Assessors interested in getting free Domestic Energy Assessor + Retrofit Assessor qualifications AND joining skilled retrofit teams across the UK to advance energy efficiency in the built environment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Complete Assessor Training: Complete a free, 9-week DEA and RA training programme to obtain a Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor and Retrofit Assessor qualifications.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills to ensure clear communication with residents throughout the assessment process, as well as communication with retrofit coordinators and contractors.
• Built Environment Experience: Previous, hands-on experience in the built environment, including but not limited to building trades, engineering, and technical installation.
• Digital Competence: Proficiency with digital tools, smart devices, and capable of quickly learning industry standard software.
• Driver's License: Ability and willingness to travel.
• Attention to Detail: Accurately complete administrative tasks and paperwork.
• Committed to upskilling to work as a DEA/RA and passionate about retrofit.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
