• Perform administrative and reception duties.
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
• Welcome clients and their pets with a friendly & professional attitude.
• Receiving cash/card payments and end of day banking procedures.
• Attend reception/team meetings as and when requested.
• Dispense medications/prescriptions (training will be given).
• Keep client/patient records up to date.
• Manage repeat prescription requests.
• Ensure all daily paperwork completed (lab reports filed, daily task sheets completed, vaccination cards, room/fridge temperatures recorded etc.).
• Client information and all retail products are well stocked, clean and within date.
• Maintain stock levels on a daily basis (drugs, food or special orders for the surgery or clients).
• Accept and deal with deliveries of stock items.
• Maintain effective debt control.
• Deal with and organise incoming and outgoing post.
• Ensure all messages are recorded legibly and in full and passed on to the relevant person.
• Promote and complete admin for clients wishing to join Pet Healthcare Plan/4-week free insurance.
• Help to coordinate vets who are on farm/equine calls.
• Clean & tidy consulting rooms and waiting area following consulting blocks
Complete mandatory training as required (Health & Safety, GDPR etc)
