Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative

• You will be responsible for the execution of all warehouse processes in line with business requirements including stores, production line feeds, spares (aftersales), goods in and out, and yard.
• You will be picking and inspecting components in line with picklist and quality standards.
• You will be preparing parts using manual handling equipment for presentation to assembly line.
• You will be delivering components to assembly line suing FLT/P60/PPT as relevant.
• You will be documenting shortages at 10 machines onto the shortage board.
• You will be replenishing components identified on the shortage board and making a timely and appropriate escalation when unable to replenish.
• You will accurately record storage locations using Warehouse Management System at all times.
• You will be picking, inspecting, preparing (including measurement and weighting) and packing spare parts in line with spares orders.
• You will actively support and participate in problem solving activities / kaizen (improvement) activities.
• You will maintain all working areas within your responsibility inline with the 5S standard.

Essential skills and experience also include:

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing / warehouse environment.
• Ideally, have a relevant Forklift Truck License (e.g. Counterbalance, VNA).
• Have a customer-focused approach.
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels within the organisation.
• Be able to work under pressure and to time constraints, and use your own initiative to solve problems.
• Be motivated and results oriented.
• Be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Be flexible to respond to changing business needs.
