Job Title: Warehouse Technician – Cables & Mains Department
Location: Twickenham, Greater London - relocating to Weybridge (KT13) in 2025

Salary: £24,500 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience plus paid overtime
*Overtime pay hourly basic rate Monday-Friday, and time and a half on weekends

Working in our busy warehouse, the Warehouse Technician will be part of our Cables team.
As a Warehouse Technician your primary responsibilities and duties are:

• Clean and prepare equipment such as cables, power distros, isolation transformers and any other department equipment
• To test, clean, remove tape, recoil, loom and put away all cables pre and post-hire
• Checking and reporting for any damages of equipment upon return from projects
• To ensure that equipment is correctly stored and labelled
• In-service inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) (training provided by Britannia Row)
• Delegating tasks within the department to the Warehouse Operatives, Apprentices and local crew
• Monitoring emails and Finesse for any changes and update to jobs being prepped
• Overseeing and quality control for warehouse operatives working in the department
• Communicate shortages or other issues/concerns to Head of Department, Warehouse Manager & Operations Department
• Stock control using current rental management software
• Comply with health and safety procedures at all times
• Any other work deemed necessary for the smooth running of the departments and warehouse

This is an entry level Warehouse position. Ideally you will work towards a competency in carrying out fault finding investigation, repair of faulty cables and panels, terminating and soldering new cables and multi-pin panels and the inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
You will need a minimum of 5 GCSE’s, including Maths and English. An interest in electrical wiring and hands on work, with good attention to detail. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, great teamwork with the ability to work independently. You must thrive under pressure, be keen to learn and be available to work some extended hours or weekends.

*Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm. Normal working hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but you will be expected to work some shifts (8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm), some weekends and additional hours as the business requires. Overtime is paid at single rate Monday to Friday and at time and a half at weekends.
