Warehouse/Workshop Operative
Pay: £11.66/hour (40 hours/week)
Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Duration: Temp to Perm after 3 months (for the right candidate)
Location: Chessington, KT9 1DQ
Job Purpose:
Repair, service, and maintain wheelchairs.
Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance as directed.
• Accurately process daily paperwork.
• Label and collate warranty and scrap returns.
• Follow infection control policy.
• Conduct engineering work per prescription builds.
• Assist in clinical appointments for repairs and servicing.
• Handle admin duties as needed.
• Allocate parts from Stores.
• Adhere to operational and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain professionalism in all aspects.
• Ensure timely and accurate job completion.
• Assist with stocktakes.
• Communicate effectively.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

Skills:

• Organized and able to follow plans
• Good communication skills
• Fault-finding ability
• Neat handwriting
• Mechanical or electrical engineering experience

Qualifications:

• Full Driving Licence (not essential)
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Mechanical engineering: 1 year (preferred)
• Electrical engineering: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
