The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Writer/Transcriptionist to join our team on a 3-month Fixed Term contract, working 20 hours per week (between 09:00 and 18:00). You will be responsible for the conversion of audio/video recordings into written documents with a level of precision and accuracy that reflect our high-quality product.
Our Writers provide transcripts for meetings and events that are often very high level, high profile and of a technical nature. They include:

• Corporate communications & investor relations events
• Employee relations meetings
• Medical and pharmaceutical communication forums
• Governance meetings (including board, management and committee meetings)
• Legal proceedings and formal investigation processes
• Regulatory meetings and public consultations
• Roundtable and industry seminars

Main Responsibilities

• Listen to audio and video recordings and transcribe spoken content accurately
• Ensure all transcripts adhere to our formatting guidelines and quality standards
• Review and edit transcripts for clarity, grammar and style
• Meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently

• Communicate effectively with our Sales, PM and Editor teams

Requirements:

• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
• Strong command of the English language including grammar and punctuation
• Previous transcription experience is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Demonstrably reliable internet connection
• English/Humanities degree
