We are seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Youth Mentor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting children and teenagers, helping them navigate challenges and develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to young individuals in various aspects of their lives
- Create and implement engaging activities to support the personal and social development of youth
- Support young people in setting and achieving personal goals
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for the youth
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of mentees regularly
- Offer emotional support and a listening ear to young people facing difficulties
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people
- Knowledge of mentoring principles and techniques
- Understanding of youth development and behaviour management
- Ability to educate and empower young individuals
- Qualifications in special education or related fields are advantageous
