We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Youth Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring young people, helping them overcome challenges, and guiding them toward a brighter future. You will be responsible for leading activities, implementing programs, and providing individual support to ensure the well-being and development of the youth in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to young people, promoting their personal and social development.
Plan, organize, and lead youth activities and programs that encourage positive behavior and skill development.
Work closely with other team members to implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the needs of each individual.
Build positive and trusting relationships with young people, offering a safe space for them to express their concerns.
Assist in the assessment and review of youth support plans, ensuring they are relevant and effective.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding policies.
Act as a role model, demonstrating positive behavior and attitudes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working with young people in a similar role is essential.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people and effective ways to address them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with young people and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, or a related field are desirable.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
