Overview:
We are seeking an Aviation Structural Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modifying and repairing aircraft structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and regulations. Ideally would like candidates with 5 years of heavy / depot-level structures experience.
Regional, corporate, or commercial fixed-wing aircraft experience is a huge plus.
Shift:
Rotating Panama Shift: 3 x 12 hour shifts 1st week after training, 4 x 12 hour shifts 2nd week after training - ALTERNATING WEEKS FROM THEN ON
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience.
Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
CRJ airframe experience a plus.
MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required.
Military aircraft maintenance experience is a plus.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is required.
Must possess their own tools.
Ability to effectively communicate in English aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.
Must be comfortable with 12-hour shiftwork, which includes days / nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect aircraft frames and structures for damage or wear
- Repair or replace damaged structural components
- Perform modifications to aircraft structures as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance on aircraft structures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with specifications
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Experience working with sheet metal for aircraft repairs
- Proficiency in the use of all hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools
- Understanding of AS9100 quality standards
- Ability to perform militarize measurements using tools like micrometers
- Capability to lift heavy objects as required in the aviation industry
