Per diem split available to those coming from out of town for this position.
LOTS OF OVERTIME AVAILABLE!
Mechanics must be shift flexible as this is a 24/7 maintenance operation.
Mechanics must be able to provide their own tools (list will be provided).
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00/hour based on interview performance, years of relevant experience, and GENFAMs previously obtained.
MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN SIDA BADGE
Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic to join our team at the Miami International Airport to conduct line maintenance on Boeing and Airbus cargo and commercial aircraft (A & B Checks)
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft systems
- Repair or replace defective parts using power tools and following schematics
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Utilize CAD software for design and modification tasks
- Work with sheet metal for repairs and fabrication
- Apply knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles to aircraft systems
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities
- Demonstrate expertise in mechanical systems, including avionics components
- Adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) in all maintenance activities
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools for aircraft maintenance tasks
- Ability to interpret and follow schematics accurately
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of mechanical issues
- Familiarity with CAD software for design and modification tasks
- Experience working with sheet metal for repairs and fabrication
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles applicable to aircraft systems
- Proficiency in using CMMS for maintenance tracking
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to aircraft systems
- Understanding of avionics components and their functions
- Adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) in all maintenance activities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
