Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director and Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Associate Director of Financial Aid and Partnerships serves as a professional staff member for the Office of Financial Aid in award determination and packaging, financial aid counseling, and the coordination of university, federal, and state financial aid programs.
Support and promote the University's sustainability efforts to protect, maintain, and increase the long-term viability and resilience of the University's environmental, social, and economic support systems. All Financial Aid team members must contribute to Bucknell's diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment.
This is a full-time (40 hour), 12-month, exempt (salary) benefits eligible position based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties:
Financial Aid Packaging and Awarding:
Evaluate applications for financial aid for first-year, returning students, transfer students, graduate students, and summer financial aid applications to determine eligibility for financial assistance and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Counseling and Constituent Interaction:
Serves as the primary contact for the Posse and Partnerships students within the Center for Access and Success. Counsels students and parents regarding the financial application/packaging, verification, needs analysis, and financial aid options to assist with educational expenses. Actively participates in Admissions Open Houses, evening admission online events, and other workshops as required.
On-Campus Program and Project Management:
Works closely with the Office of Communications on website enhancements, podcast series, and social media posts. Actively participates in campus-related financial aid sessions and workshops on financial assistance planning, budgeting, and financial literacy.
Internal Office Operations Assistance:
Serves as the backup to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid regarding any internal or external projects that include audits, study abroad, or any other duties as assigned. Assists with supervising, training, and evaluating staff.
Personal Development:
Regularly attends any financial aid-related training events, conferences, and webinars to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations. Perform various departmental duties as requested by supervisors or staff in the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree
-
3-5 years of experience in financial aid administration
-
Supervision of staff
-
Training of staff
- Advising and counseling of students and families in student financial areas
KNOWLEDGE AREAS AND SKILLS:

Must be organized, analytical, detail oriented, able to multitask and work independently

Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative

Ability to collaborate with others and exercise sensitivity to matters of confidentiality

Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Prior work experience at a comparable institution

Salary Range:
59,760.00-74,700.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
