Position Summary
We are seeking an hourly Strategic Advisor to serve K-12 districts in implementing key client deliverables. Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Strategic Advisor is an hourly employee commissioned to execute on specific job functions and projects on behalf of CEC. The Strategic Advisor’s responsibilities include completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision, managing assigned project plans, and implementing relevant parts of the strategic plan and providing evidence of attainment as assigned. This role focuses on client management and development. The Strategic Advisor may be assigned lead responsibilities on projects from inception to completion. In this role, the Strategic Advisor should possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality work with minimal supervision focusing on the highest level of quality and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs.
  • Cultivate existing relationships with districts, schools, and partners with the goal of meeting strategic priorities and revenue targets.
  • Support leadership and project teams as requested
  • Lead long term or extensive projects or programs; coordinating or directing other staff; and/or meaningfully contributing to CEC at the strategic level.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas and CEC workforce.
  • Contribute to scope development and serve as a liaison with CEC clients to complete and expand project work.
  • Manage work independently. Tailor work with clients to ensure VVMG are executed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and manage assignment related client communication.
  • Act as an ambassador to clients regarding CEC services and programs and ensure that assignments are completed according to stipulated agreements and within deadlines.
  • Stay up to date on educational reform issues which will inform and enhance curriculum and content and delivery.
  • Be an active and innovative individual contributor to the overall CEC financial development and growth
  • Monitor progress of projects to ensure ongoing continuous improvement and quality control.
  • Build collaborative relationships with others. Foster partnerships and nurture and maintain such partnership relationships.
  • Development and updating of curriculum and content
  • Attend CEC events and functions to represent CEC in public venues
  • Serve on project teams as requested and needed
  • Identify funding opportunities related to developing capacity.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education. Master’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • 4 years leading, coaching, or supporting teachers and administrators in a school setting.
  • Experience adapting and presenting professional development in K-12 settings.
  • Experience working with Teachers, School Principals, District Office Leaders, and School Board Members.
  • Experience partnering with educational entities in support of school improvement.
  • Proven experience in K-12 or Higher Ed teaching and leading
  • Proven experience in client or customer service
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in virtual collaboration and communication

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 37 per week
