Job Summary:
Diab Americas LP, an AS9100 certified company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Quality Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect composite parts built to print, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards before full production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards and possess a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). This position requires proficiency with precision measuring tools, including digital calipers and 3-D handheld scanners.
Key Responsibilities:
· First Article Inspection (FAI): Conduct FAI in compliance with AS9102 standards to ensure parts meet all design and manufacturing requirements before production begins.
· First Piece Inspection: Collaborate with the production team to perform first piece inspections, providing the green light for full-scale production if the part meets specifications.
· In-process Inspections: Perform regular inspections of composite parts during production to ensure ongoing quality and adherence to design specifications.
· Final Inspection: Conduct final inspections of completed parts to verify conformance with drawings and specifications.
· Use of Precision Measuring Tools: Utilize precision measuring tools, including but not limited to digital calipers, micrometers, and 3-D handheld scanners, to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
· GD&T Application: Apply a strong understanding of GD&T principles to interpret engineering drawings and inspect parts accordingly.
· Documentation: Accurately document inspection results and maintain records in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
· Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to production and engineering teams regarding potential improvements in design, manufacturing processes, or inspection techniques.
· Compliance: Ensure all inspections comply with relevant quality standards, including AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Quality, CNC Machining, or a related field preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a CNC machining or composite manufacturing environment.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in performing FAI in accordance with AS9102 standards.
o Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
o Experience using precision measuring tools such as digital calipers, micrometers, and 3-D handheld scanners.
o Familiarity with composite materials and CNC machining processes is a plus.
· Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting parts and documenting results.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with quality management software.

· Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends, or overtime as required to meet business needs.
