Position Summary:
Diab Americas is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation of our manufacturing facility. This multi-craft position will provide technical initiative and execution for all preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation needs as required. his includes but is not limited to building operations, utility operations, and production equipment.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ relevant industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with basic electrical and mechanical skills, and can demonstrate strong skills in at least 3 of the following areas:
· Industrial electrical, motor controls, wiring, troubleshooting
· PLC troubleshooting, VFD’s
· Fabrication ability, such as sheet metal for guards, steel construction of conveyors, etc.
· Pump, gearbox, power transmission equipment replacement and rebuild
· Pipefitting
· Machining skills
· Experience with hydraulic systems and/or pneumatics, air compressors
· HVAC experience
Salary: Negotiable, depending upon relevant industrial maintenance experience.
Academic / Educational Training Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.
Required Skills / Experience:
· 3+ years’ experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimum utilization and process capability.
· Ability to interpret and understand basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings and functions.
· Experience with a computer-based maintenance system is a plus.
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
· Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
· Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
· Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to meet business needs.
· Ability to read, comprehend and perform to Quality System Documentation.
· Ability to work both independently and with others; Must be a strong team player.
· Must have hands on/can do attitude.
· Ability to understand and comply with all company policies/procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
· Ability to maintain attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.
· Ability to maintain good housekeeping practices and standards.
· Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
· Experience driving mobile equipment such as a forklift and scissors lift.
· Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
· Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
· Ability to stand for duration of shift.
