Chart is looking for an entry level Commissioning and Start-up Process/Mechanical Engineer for our office in The Woodlands, TX. This position will include significant travel to commission and startup projects.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Under the guidance of a senior engineer, the primary objective of thisrole is to provide Process/Mechanical Engineering support for commissioning advice and startup oversight to facilitate a safe and successful handover of Chart designed facilities that include LNG, LH2, etc. to the Clients.

Under the guidance of a senior engineer, the Commissioning and Start-up Process Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning and startup of Chart designed facilities.

Write operating manuals for Chart designed facilities based upon engineering designs.

Participate in PID review, HAZOPs, and other design reviews as required.

Perform Cold Box and skidded Equipment walk down activities as part of a team and prepare punch lists.

Perform P&ID plant walk down activities as part of a team and prepare punch lists.

Prepare operator training materials.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and operators, to ensure the successful implementation of startup plans and procedures.

When not involved in commissioning and startup activities, perform Process Engineering tasks that include running simulations in HYSYS or Pro/II and generating Process deliverables that include PFD, HMB, Datasheets, PID, Control Narratives, and Cause and Effects.

Prepare lessons learned reports and provide feedback to the Engineering teams.

This role will involve extensive travel up for the first two years; up to 50% of the time.
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Proficient in the use of computer & software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, etc.

Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills will be essential in this role.

Flexibility and willingness to travel will be important aspects of the job.

Willingness to spend extended periods of time at client plant sites worldwide.This role will involve extensive travel up to 50% of the time.
