**Job Summary:**
We are a furniture store seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery & Warehouse Assistant to join our team. We are looking to fill this position ASAP. As a member of our delivery team, you are an important part of the overall customer experience.
We are a small, family owned business who is looking for the right person to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling warehouse duties, driving a box truck and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service on behalf of The Amish Craftsman.
**Duties:**
- Load and unload trucks, following proper safety procedures
- Drive a box truck safely and efficiently to deliver furniture to customers
- Assist with vehicle maintenance
- Perform warehouse duties, including receiving and stocking inventory
- Deliver goods to customers, ensuring prompt and courteous service
- Navigate routes, following traffic laws and regulations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any issues. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company standards
**Qualifications:**
Must have the following qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Have reliable transportation to work
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture
- Able to pass a drug check
- Able to pass a background check
- Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving a van or box truck
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and operations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to timely delivery
- Identify the most efficient way to complete assigned tasks and asks clarifying questions when appropriate
