Description

The Education and Labor Cabinet’s mission is to educate, prepare and train Kentucky's current and future workforces. Our goal is to create and make continuous improvements to an education and workforce system that prepares Kentuckians for the 21st century workforce, while helping businesses find the skilled workers they need to compete and create jobs in the Commonwealth.

The cabinet is seeking to fill an Executive Advisor position located within the Office of Policy and Audit.

Job duties include:

• Investigates administrative and/or criminal complaints; determines whether information contain alleged facts that give reasonable cause to believe that the alleged wrongful act or omission has occurred or is being committed; examine witnesses, records, papers are tangible items; gathers and safeguards evidence, records as appropriate.
• Recommends plan of action.
• Supports Executive Director on audits for the Cabinet.
• Assists in coordination, tracking, gathering information, accessing the process/procedures the Cabinet has in place to ensure they meet the requirements, and remediation of findings.
• Prepares a detailed report of each investigation which details the basis of the investigation.
• Describes what the state agency in which the wrongful act or omission occurred is doing to change its policies or procedures to prevent recurrences of similar wrongful acts or omission.
• Attends training and conducts research to stay familiar with investigative practices and technique, laws and regulations.
