Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Executive Director (VP Corporate Learning and Organizational Development) will lead the corporate L&D and OD departments. As the corporate L&D and OD executive, you will oversee the design and implementation of learning and training based on the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma business strategy for a diverse set of business verticals which includes hospitality, casino operations, food and beverage, retail, health, housing, education, and more. This executive will work with existing department stakeholders to provide an L&D and OD strategy that shares common competencies, succession planning and mentoring programs that are consistent and unify the diverse businesses into one cohesive tribe. You will report to the Executive Officer of Human Resources.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan that supports our overall business and cultural goals. Conduct needs assessments, implement transformational initiatives, and design holistic solutions to evolve our capabilities, structure, policies, processes, and people.
2. Develops and leads the organizational development of professional staff. Research and lead the development of performance management training programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns.
3. Create a diverse range of learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and soft skills development to support long-term and short-term strategies.
4. Use modern learning strategies and technologies in learning and development to design engaging and effective programs.
5. You will oversee the design and delivery of training programs through multiple channels, including instructor-led training, e-learning, webinars, and workshops. Ensure that learning experiences are tailored to meet the needs of different employee groups and levels.
6. Implement robust assessment and evaluation processes to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs including volume, reaction, learning, behavior, results, and Return on investment. Use data and feedback to improve and adapt learning initiatives.
7. Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-efficient use of resources.
8. Foster a culture of leadership development by identifying high-potential employees and creating programs to nurture their growth.
9. Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, HR, Organizational Development, or related field.

Minimum of five (5) years leading L&D for an organization of 10,000 or more employees, enterprise level experience.

Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs.

Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.

Familiarity with enterprise level e-learning platforms, learning management systems, and modern learning technologies.
