In this position…
We are seeking a curious, driven, and motivated individual to join our team at the Chicago Assembly Plant, home of the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln Aviator! This position not only supports critical analysis for the Chicago Assembly Plant, but also provides the opportunity to gain stamping manufacturing experience due to an overlap in reporting structure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to produce critical insights regarding the operational success of the business and shape the cost strategy for the future. The position interacts regularly with operations counterparts and plays an active role in cost control. This position also tracks the cost of new model launches and contributes to the monthly close process.
Candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, be able to track frequently changing inputs, and be action-oriented to translate data to actionable opportunities. A continual improvement mindset is also critical as we continue to modernize how we work.
This role is 5 days onsite in Chicago, IL.

You'll have…

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience using Excel and Power Point to effectively organize, analyze, and present financial data, as well as create visually engaging and informative presentations

Even better, you may have…

MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
Good communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well across multiple functions
Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
Self-Starter and quick learner
System tools recommended (e.g., SAP, Alteryx, Power Apps, Python, Qlik Sense, etc.)

What you'll do…

Run critical plant reports including daily cost package, weekly cost package, and various other requirements for both Chicago Assembly Plant and Chicago Stamping Plant
Use data and trend analysis to help identify cost opportunities
Partner with operations to guide the development of action plans
Track all CAP launch activities and assess monthly cost impact, provide monthly launch forecasts, and react to timing updates and associated budget implications
Leverage Alteryx and miscellaneous tools to continually drive more efficiency in the Controller’s Office
Complete business case analysis to find optimal cost opportunities
Light exposure to internal control requirements including sub-ledgers and accounting accuracy
