Full Stack Developer, Python

Hire Art is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a skilled Full Stack Developer, Python. In this role, you will need to be familiar with a number of common backend microservice frameworks.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years experience as a Python software developer. You also possess a good understanding of the Python package ecosystem, including pip, setuptools, etc.

As a Full Stack Developer, Python, you'll:

Understand existing code and gather requirements for existing microservices.
Migrate existing microservices, based on those requirements, to a new set of microservice frameworks based on some of the open-source libraries with a scalable, efficient, and Pythonic implementation.
Document, release for testing, debug, and assist with other software development tasks.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven previous experience of 6+ years as a Python software developer
Excellent knowledge of open-source Python microservice frameworks (e.g., Fast API, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Microcosm, Connexion, and Flask)
Understanding of the Python package ecosystem (e.g., pip, setuptools, etc.)

Bonus Qualifications:

General automation development experience for deploying and operating production services at scale
Experience with AWS or other public clouds and infrastructure as code
Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as Java Script, HTML5, and CSS3

Commitment: This is a full-time, 6-month, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. This role is hybrid requiring at least 3 days onsite. It will be available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
