Hire Art is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Technical Writer, Base Ops to author and maintain
Base Ops technical documentation to support technicians and engineers with managing the company's autonomous vehicle fleet.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to define and obtain the necessary information for the successful delivery of the required service documentation.

As a Technical Writer, you'll:

Create and update the technical documentation associated with the following:
Vehicle operations manuals and mission readiness documentation
Vehicle-level inspection, maintenance and repair, and remove/replace procedures
Software programming and post-repair bring-up
Fleet upgrade and rework procedures
Technical service bulletins
Bachelor's degree with a focus in technical writing
2+ years experience as a technical writer or relevant field
Proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office Suite
Experience with topic-based writing concepts
Markup language experience (e.g., HTML, XML, or DITA XML)
Strong written and oral communication skills and cross-functional teamwork skills
Exhibit high attention to detail and safety acumen
Ability to multi-task and manage workload to achieve project deliverable deadlines
Self-starter and ability to approach the role with a can-do, team player attitude

Bonus Qualifications:

Vehicle technician or autonomous vehicle operator experience
Previous automotive OEM service manual authoring experience
Experience with software used:
Oxygen XML (DITA), JIRA, Github, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite, and CATIA 3DX
