Provide cybersecurity policy consulting and Program/Project Management Office support to Federal Government agencies. A small firm located out of the Washington D.C. DMV area.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). Perform cybersecurity governance, regulatory and compliance activities for Federal client. Conduct analysis of security control implementation. Review scans for vulnerabilities. Update executive dashboard and brief client on status. Daily client and vendor interactions to track cybersecurity compliance. Track POA&M progress. Develop cybersecurity training content.

Work Location: 100% Remote from U.S.A. only
Work Hours: 7am – 4pm EST (8 hour shift)
Contract Duration: Multi-year
Compensation Type: W-2; full-time employment
Years of Experience: 8+ yrs in cybersecurity
Certifications: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or *equivalent
*Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
*Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
*Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Knowledge & Skill Set:
· Strong oral and written communication skills for daily engagement with
client and vendors
· Perform qualtiy assurance tasks
· NIST cybersecurity Special Publications
o SP 800 -37 Risk Management Framework (RMF)
o SP 800 – 53 r4/r5 security controls
· Fed RAMP cloud security
· Assessment & Authorization (A&A) life cycle
o Authority to Operate (ATO)
o Vulnerability Management life cycle
Plan of Action & Management (POA&M)
o Compliance scan analysis
o Scan analysis of Operating System (OS)/ Database (DB)/Web
o System inventory tracking
o Review System Security Plan updates
· Executive status updates and briefing
· Developing cybersecurity training material including Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP), operational templates
Tools Expertise:
· Microsoft Office Suite
o MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, macros)
o MS Powerpoint (status reporting, executive briefings)
o MS Word (develop Standard operating procedures, process flows)
· Google Platform
o Proficient working with Gmail, Gchat, Google Docs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Application Question(s):

• Have at least 8 years of experience supporting Federal systems incompliance to FISMA
• Have 8 years of experience working on POA&M management
• Understand technologies including Linux, Unix, Windows servers
• Ability to review system architectures for network flow, security boundary, data in/out
• Have experience working in Google Drive environment
• Have experience working directly with federal government clients
• Have experience with creating workflow diagrams
• Have experience with creating spreadsheet data analysis and charts
• Have 8 years of experience of performing vulnerability scan analysis
