Landscape Manager with Maintenance Experience

Wellington, FL: Seeking a full-time, hands-on, experienced Landscape Manager with Maintenance experience to oversee and manage 80+ acres of fields and landscaped areas for two horse farms. Must have experience directing staff and vendors to ensure all is properly maintained. Must be able to operate large tractors and various types of power and landscaping equipment with knowledge of irrigation systems. Specific examples of previous landscape and maintenance positions including bullet points should be detailed in your resume.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Monitor, maintain, and inspect all landscape and grounds
Oversee, schedule, and direct staff
Manage all projects such as tree removal/planting, overseeding, irrigation installation, maintenance, fertilization, pest control/pesticide application
Obtain proposals, schedule and oversee vendors
Maintain lawns, including weeding, mulching, and edging; trim shrubs and hedges
Ensure maintenance of all equipment

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to operate and maintain large lawn tractors such as Zero Turn and John Deere, as well as all landscaping equipment
Must be skilled at trimming and precision-cutting large hedges (200’-400’ long) in a straight line
Knowledge of landscaping and gardening techniques and processes
Knowledge of irrigation and lawn fertilizers/pesticides
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Must be conscientious, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and flexible with the ability to prioritize
Must submit daily reports and weekly outlooks
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and various hours when necessary
A valid Driver’s License
Authorized to work in the United States

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 8 years’ experience with lawn maintenance, landscaping
Knowledge of basic irrigation (sprinkler systems), troubleshooting and repair a plus
Knowledge of routine maintenance of power equipment a plus

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, or kneeling
Must be physically able to operate power equipment
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions

Salary: From $75,000 per year commensurate with experience
