New Vehicle Sales Manager

Garber Chevrolet Highland has a rare opportunity to hire a seasoned New Car Sales Manager to join our team!
We need someone with minimum of 5 years Management experience in a high volume dealership. This is not a starter position or a desk position. Candidates must understand what it takes to produce high monthly vehicle sales and hit front and back end gross profit objectives! We are looking for someone highly motivated, enthusiastic, and customer-focused.

New Vehicle Sales Manager Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Sales team to develop enriching relationships that improve customer satisfaction and fuel the sales process.
  • Provide coaching and support to sales staff and assist in closing deals.
  • Recruit, hire, and provide training the sales team on an ongoing basis.
  • Demonstrate leadership by setting a clear vision and goals for the sales targeted performance.
  • Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations, and standard methodology processes.
  • Drive business through a high-level of involvement in day-to-day operations.
  • Lead the negotiation process ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing.
  • Partner with General Manager to plan and run vehicle inventory.
  • Assist in running controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments.
  • Analyze business metrics to resolve shortfalls and implement action plans to elevate performance.
New Vehicle Sales Manager Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years Automotive dealership experience
  • Must have a verifiable track record of performance
  • General Motors experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and lead a team
  • Confirmed leadership ability to mentor and train others
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
  • Ability to boost morale during the sales workday and improve profitability
  • Organization and follow-up skills
  • Experience and desire to work with technology
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
