Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree and related experience and/or in social science studies, particularly with adolescents, families, and/or technology use.
  • General understanding of scientific theory and methods.
  • Experience and/or interest in conducting social and behavioral research with adolescents and their families.
  • Experience and/or interest in using research software and databases including Excel, Qualtrics, SPSS/R/SAS/Python.
  • Capacity to work non-standard, extended or weekend hours in support of research work.
Position Overview
This is a temporary support position for a research project funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. This project is a four-year longitudinal, mixed-method study on adolescents’ social media use and mental health. Position is dependent upon grant funding.

The budgeted salary is $15.97/hour for a maximum of 14 hours a week. Final salary offers are dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity within the department.
Job Responsibilities
Project Administration (40%)
  • Maintain and file forms and documents.
  • Interact with the principal investigator regularly.
  • Attend project and lab meetings and organize meeting notes.
  • Track undergraduate research assistants’ lab hours.
Research Support (60%)
  • Assist with recruitment material: flyers, advertisements, consent/assent forms, screening surveys.
  • Assist with data collection material: Qualtrics and REDCap survey, text/email messages to participants.
  • Assist with data labeling and tagging.
