**Job Description:**
A community hospital, part of a strong healthcare system, is looking to hire a dedicated **Nurse Director of Labor & Delivery**. This role comes with **bonus incentives** and an exciting opportunity to lead a growing Women’s Health program. The Director will oversee all daily operations for a 180+ bed hospital, managing a department that includes **7 Labor & Delivery suites** and a team of **2 Assistant Nurse Directors**, handling approximately 100 deliveries per month. This position reports directly to the **Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)** and offers a path to a **Senior Director role** in the future.
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery department.
- Manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with the CNO and hospital leadership to support departmental growth and initiatives.
**Qualifications:**
- **Licensed RN** with a **BSN**; **Master’s degree** preferred.
- Minimum of **2 years of experience** in Labor & Delivery with **supervisory or management experience**.
- Certification from a nationally recognized nursing organization in either clinical specialty or Nursing Administration within 2 years of hire.
- **CPR** certification (includes **BLS** and **NRP**) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required within 90 days of hire.
- **C-EFM** certification in **Electronic Fetal Monitoring** from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) required for perinatal nurses (Labor & Delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) within 12 months of hire.
