Emergency Preparedness and Response - Bismarck, ND - Program Representative

Work primarily involves assisting the Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Unit in developing, implementing, and coordinating processes, standards, and controls for carrying out the work of program and response operations and activities in the Department Operations Center (DOC).
Duties include:

• Assist with coordination and supervision of staff activities.
• Ensure all staff are adequately trained.
• Monitor workflows for efficiency and adjust as needed.
• Monitor supplies, materials, and products necessary during emergency events.
• Establish and update policies and procedures.
• Compile reports as needed for data collection and monitoring.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes.
• Assist with preparation of After-Action Reports following each response activity.
• Engage stakeholders and partners to ensure satisfaction of assigned missions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and tracking.
• Use skills within scope of practice for response activities as they arise.
• Assist with development and implementation of exercises and educational content.
• Monitor workflows for efficiency and adjust as needed.
• Maintain effective working relationships with agencies, partners, and team members.
• During emergency responses, on-call, weekends, and night work hours might be required.

To be considered for this position you are required to have a bachelor's degree. Four years of experience in emergency preparedness and response activities, emergency operations center activities, and large group coordination and organization will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement. Preference will be given to applicants with a medical license i.e., EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN and have successfully completed Incident Command System (ICS) training, specifically completion of ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 400, ICS 700, and ICS 800. Excellent oral and writing skills and the ability to organize multiple activities is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
This position will require a criminal background check.
Location: You will work in the Bismarck office.
