The role: Our Location Advisory team secures economic incentives for clients that are adding jobs, expanding or building new facilities, adding equipment, or relocating. As a Location Advisory Relationship Manager, you will market and build relationships with brokers, bankers, private equity groups and other real estate professionals within the southeast market of the United States. Your territory will primarily be focused on developing new business within Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. You will play a critical role in developing new referral sources in this territory, as well as supporting the retention of existing client relationships.
Mc Guire Sponsel fosters a dynamic culture that emphasizes training and professional development. No prior knowledge of the Location Advisory or Economic Development is required. Candidates will develop and grow their skill set by working closely with the firm’s shareholders, technical practice line leaders, and experienced sales professionals. What you will do:
- Generate new Location Advisory client relationship opportunities for the southeast market.
- Gain an understanding and knowledge base of Mc Guire Sponsel’s Location Advisory offerings.
- Collaborate with firm leadership in developing and executing market strategies.
- Manage the successful transition of awarded client engagements to the appropriate practice line.
- Work closely with key practice line leaders to collect and analyze client data and prepare engagement letters during the proposal process.
- Report new and existing opportunities within Salesforce, our CRM software.
- Participate in firm marketing initiatives.
- Attend and participate in various industry events, such as annual tax conferences.
- Travel to prospective client locations to meet with or give presentations to key decision makers.
- Ongoing client relationship management.
What you will need:
- A completed bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience with B2B sales.
- Prior experience working with bankers, brokers, developers and private equity is desirable.
- 5+ years’ experience in a sales or professional services environment is desirable.
- No prior experience with tax credits or economic development is necessary.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Consultative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, excels in client situations.
- Desire to spend time outside of an office environment, interacting with existing and prospective clients.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Adobe.
- Experience in Salesforce is helpful, but not required.
- A valid United States driver’s license.
- Ability to reliably transport yourself to various client locations across the country, as needed.
