Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, harvest, crop sampling and field observations
• Assist with irrigation as assigned
• Assist with post-harvest management of potato volunteers through mechanical or chemical operations
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Assist in managing field plots (mowing, spraying, weeding, crop covers)
• Operate farm equipment including but not limited to disking, planting, spraying, cultivating
• Support the Biotechnology Quality Management System (BQMS) documentation and monitoring
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Typical Education

Relevant Experience

• Preference for experience in crop production, farming, horticulture or similar
• Excellent verbal, written communications and interpersonal skills are essential
• The individual must be available to travel domestically approximately 20%.
• Valid driver’s license
• An Idaho Pesticide Applicators License is preferred or the ability to obtain one
