Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Permits and Licensing Operations Manager to lead operations related to the global expansion of our services. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, understanding, and collecting necessary licenses, certifications, and permits to support our strategy and growth. Your work will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, aligning cross-functional teams on execution plans and enabling rapid growth while maintaining high-quality experiences for our customers.
Candidates with experience in industries requiring regulatory approvals, such as hospitality, construction, or high-tech services, will be well-suited for this role. The ability to manage complex processes and work with various jurisdictions is key. Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills are critical for success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement operational plans to identify, define, collect, and maintain permits and licenses required for various categories across different regions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply, Legal, Policy, and Business, to ensure alignment on permitting, licensing, and access requirements.
• Engage with local permitting and licensing bodies, conducting training sessions, and verifying that required documentation is received and maintained.
• Build relationships with institutions, regulatory bodies, and private entities to understand their requirements and create plans that enable access for service providers.
• Assist stakeholders in obtaining necessary permissions and respond to inquiries from licensing bodies, addressing access-related incidents.
• Support local enforcement actions or investigations as necessary.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for process automation and improvements.
• Drive strategy alignment and program execution across multiple teams.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 5+ years of experience in operations, management consulting, or project management in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience with permits and licenses within the travel, hospitality, or related industries is a plus, particularly across various regions and jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to build programs and projects from the ground up.
• Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and working with a variety of stakeholders, including legal and business teams.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to use data to inform decisions. SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to stakeholders.
• Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and ready to adapt to changes quickly.

Compensation range for position is $ 100,000 – 175,000 DOE.
