What’s it like as an Accounting Assistant at Univision?
Being a part of our team as an Accounting Assistant will be highly engaging both internally with peers and externally with clients. The variety of tasks to do leaves no shortage of things to do while working in a busy but fun environment. Work both as a part of a team and also solo, interact with coworkers from other departments. Customers having a great customer service experience is critical, so you have to be great with people on the phone and via electronic means.
Accounting Assistants start their journey at Univision with a detailed onboarding process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:
- Handle all billing, posting payments, and collections.
- Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions in Quick Books.
- Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections.
- Identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success department to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least monthly) basis.
- Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts periodically.

Assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.

Accounts Payable:
- Enter invoices for payment.
- Reconcile expenses and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitate payment of vendors, including entering invoices for payment, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist or complete monthly company payroll.
- All other related duties as assigned.

- 2+ Years relevant accounting experience.

Proficient with MS Office Products.
- Quick Books Desktop experience preferred but not required.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to effectively interact with clients and staff.
