Meridian Montessori is seeking a sub to serve as lead guide in our toddler classroom for students ages 18 to 36 months.
Essential Functions

• Prepare the classroom environment
• Manage the “flow” of the classroom
• Support children in independence and resolution of conflicts
• Be a role model for children in speech, tone, demeanor, and actions
• Serve as a record keeper of the work children are engaged in and children’s social interactions
• Set up for and supervise snack and lunch bunch
• Manage drop off and pick up
• Care for the classroom including light cleaning
• Manage toileting including diaper changes
• Go outdoors daily in all weather conditions including during winter months
• Serve the needs of the children and community

Competencies

• Have a Montessori early childhood credential and/or experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood community
• Enjoy working with young children
• Have a strong work ethic
• Actively seek professional growth and development
• Solution-oriented and willing to meet families where they are

Additional Considerations
A background check and CPR/First Aid certification are required. Candidates should have authorization to work in the United States.
Position Details
The position begins in January and runs through the end of March 2025. The hours are Monday through Thursday 9 am to 1 pm. This is a part-time temporary position.
