Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI, Inc. seeks Vice President, Data Services in Norman, OK to coordinate with a first-rate clientele including many of the world’s central banks, leading financial institutions and hedge funds. Develop business logic required to integrate upstream data feeds to a normalized set of terms and conditions data models. Research and acquire in-depth knowledge of the market data content models of upstream suppliers to MSCI.

Your Key Responsibilities

Coordinate closely with Development team in the implementation and maintenance of developed business rules as well as monitor the quality of terms and conditions daily. Maintain and improve current data processes to support the daily production ensuring data quality. Develop derived data sets that are both client and market specific with different regulations. Develop QA processes to detect and capture anomalies in the market reference data. Collaborate with cross functional teams (IT Development and Research teams), Product Management and understand new requirements that enable downstream applications to model new feature requests. Articulate project implementation details to business stakeholders via dashboards, reports and presentations. Facilitate the advancement of MSCI's regulatory offerings through close collaboration with the Research and IT development teams. Ensure that specifications are consistently updated to align with market regulations, while also fulfilling production responsibilities. Manage client inquiries regarding data discrepancies and effectively communicate updates on new offerings. Uphold a high level of transparency by articulating project implementation details clearly and concisely.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing SQL and relational databases including Oracle SQL, MSSQL, and Sybase; working with large vendor market data architectures, projects, and products, including Refinitiv Elektron/RDF, Refinitiv Datascope Plus, Refinitiv Datascope Equities, and Onsite Fixed Income (EJV), S&P, Moodys, IHS Markit, ICE APEX, Recursion, Intex, and Market Axess; programming using Visual Basic, Perl, Python or C/C++; performing market data content management, including equities, equity derivatives, domestic and international mutual funds, fixed-income government and corporate debt, structured debt, commodity futures, commodity derivatives, or credit derivatives; working with legal entity data and data models; and utilizing understanding of US-based financial regulations, NPORT, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) reports, FRTB and translate those to Data requirements. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
