1st Shift: Warehouse Worker/Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver

Bergin Fruit and Nut Company is currently seeking an experienced warehouse worker to perform all aspects of warehouse operation at the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
Primary Duties

• Receive product into the warehouse.
• Organize and rotate product.
• Pick finished product for shipping and stage finished product for loading on trucks.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the entire warehouse facility.
• Follow all safety procedures and practices.
• Serve as backup for the drivers as needed by picking up and delivering products, and completing all paperwork.

Physical Demands

• Work in a climate controlled, refrigerated warehouse.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other motorized equipment as needed.
• Push/pull up to 2200 lbs. of raw materials on a pallet with a pallet jack.
• Lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and over 75 lbs. with help.
• Frequently reach above shoulder height.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• General warehouse experience.
• Dependable with reliable attendance.
• Motivated and able to work with speed and accuracy.
• Basic reading, math, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a group setting and independently.
• Electric riding (stand up) pallet jack experience highly desired, but not necessary. Willing to train those who meet all other qualifications of the position.
• Commercial driving experience preferred, but not required.

Other

• Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no convictions for theft or violent crimes, and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation
$19.50 per hour – increase to $20.00 per hour after 60-90 day review
Hours

• First shift opportunity, 5:00 am - 1:00 pm, 40 hours per week.
• Some end-of-shift work, weekends, overtime, and holiday hours may be required.
