What you’ll do:

• Ability to read blueprints and shop orders. Responsible for safety, quality, production quotas, and all documentation associated with product movement and confirmations.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead position.
• Set-up and troubleshoot welding equipment.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using MIG welding process.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Layout, position, align and secure parts using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
• Weld separately or in combination using aluminum, stainless steel and other alloys.
• Mark or tag material with proper identification as required
• Remove excess weld, slag, spatter and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, had files or scrapers
• Position and secure workpieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
• Fill holes and increase the size of metal parts
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan layout, assembly and welding operations

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Pinckneyville, IL will be considered. (Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation).

• Proficiency with tape measuring equipment
