British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Head of Art and Design, to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2025.
The role
The Art and Design Department is a dynamic, collaborative environment with a strong commitment to fostering creativity, risk-taking, and 21st-century skills. Our teachers are passionate, creative thinkers who are dedicated to providing students with rich and meaningful learning experiences.
Art and Design Technology are highly regarded subjects at the school, prominently celebrated through exhibitions, annual art books, extracurricular activities, set designs, and virtual platforms. Our purpose-built Art rooms are equipped with a class set of Mac Books, a laser cutter, kiln, sewing machines, and a printing press. Design Technology integrates the STEAM curriculum for students in Years 7-9, offering an interdisciplinary approach that leads into the IGCSE and IBDP Design and Technology programmes.
BIS Hanoi benefits from exceptional facilities, including a recently developed makerspace that supports Design Technology across all year levels. As a Nord Anglia school, we also benefit from a valuable partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which enhances our students' preparation for success in the 21st century.
