Head of Partnerships, Solv Vietnam - SC Ventures

Job Summary
SC Ventures (SCV) spearheads innovation across Standard Chartered. Included in SCV’s mandate will be to invest in Fin Tech’s and other start-up companies, promote rapid testing and implementation of new business models. Solv Vietnam is set up as an e-commerce marketplace to transform the traditional B2B supply chain, supporting SMEs with easier and faster access to finance.
Business
- Build and manage relationship with Financial Institutions to engage & sign up Anchor clients and FI partners to participate on the platform
- Evaluate in detail the performance of partnership programs, assessing among other things their ability to source high quality clients in target segments with whom multi-product relationships are being built
- Determine how to optimize partnership programs to improve their strategic fit and performance to increase the efficiency of the platform
People & Talent
- Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values.
- Strengthen hiring & career development plan for the tea
- Create a motivational and challenging environment in the team which is conducive to creativity and delivery of the strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management
- Execute responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks.
Governance
- Act and escalate quickly when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to establish applicable risk / control framework to ensure that the Group’s ability to remain within risk appetite is not materially threatened.
- Familiarise self with governance structures and mandatory bank processes.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience
We require expert level proficiency in these areas:

As our ideal candidate, you have demonstrable experience leading a sales team. You have developed a strong payments partnership ecosystem. You are deeply familiar with Vietnam's financial services sector, having worked in large financial corporates (local and multinational). You are values-driven, and are excited about catapulting the SOLV franchise (and Standard Chartered brand name) to new heights in the Vietnam market.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION Bachelor and/or above in finance, business, economics, strategy, supply chain or a related field.
- TRAINING Knowledge of trade working capital finance products, supply chain finance and treasury workflow automation
- EXPERIENCE Senior management level in banking, product management & structuring, financial analysis, sales support, or a related role.
- LANGUAGES Advanced in Vietnamese/English bilingual
