RECRUITMENT FOR KOREAN TRANSLATOR AND INTEPRETER
Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.
Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city. We focus on education, water & sanitation, and income generation sectors in different areas of Vietnam.

Job title: Korean Translator and Interpreter

Effective date: ASAP
Location: Head Office, Hanoi
Type of contract: Full-time

Reports to: Country Director, General Director, Admin Manager.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Director, Managers/ Team Managers/ Officers in HO, Project Managers, Project Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, and Governmental Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

Translate document related to GNI’s work from Korean to Vietnamese or vice versa
Interpret in meetings, workshops and field trips, and when required
Support for Korean staff and foreign Volunteer teams working with GNI
Be prepared to work on any specific tasks assigned by management.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: University degree in Korean studies or in relevant field

Work experience

At least 1-year relevant working experience in the field of interpretation/translation
NGO working experience is preferable;

Skills

Good communication skills
Good skill in computer use (Microsoft office)
Ability to work independently and with the team

Attitude

Sociable and responsive
Accountable and transparent.
