Account Executive

Our client is an established Anti-PR agency that emphasizes a methodology aimed at delivering measurable results beyond traditional PR tactics. They focus on disrupting the market, achieving brand exposure, and influencing public opinion to ensure a return on investment (ROI) for their clients. They offer services in research and planning, publicity and PR, content development, press releases, and crisis management.

We are seeking highly talented and efficient Account Executive to join our team. The purpose of the Account Executive (Sales) role is to drive revenue growth and enhance client satisfaction through proactive engagement and relationship management. The Account Executive will focus on reconnecting with past clients to explore upselling opportunities, effectively resolving issues and concerns from former clients, and building strong relationships with current clients. Additionally, the role includes conducting Anti-PR consultations to educate prospects and clients on innovative strategies that challenge traditional public relations practices. By aligning client needs with tailored PR solutions, the Account Executive plays a crucial role in fostering client loyalty, maximizing account potential, and contributing to the overall success of the firm.

Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm EST
Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Proactively engage with current clients to strengthen relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to assess client needs and satisfaction levels, providing timely updates on deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services based on a thorough understanding of client goals and market trends.
  • Runs a referral program, getting referrals from current clients.
  • Reaches out to referrals and follows daily selling support process on referrals.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling:
  • Reconnect with past clients to identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities.
  • Develop and present tailored PR solutions that align with clients' evolving business objectives and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of upsell opportunities in the CRM system (e.g., Hub Spot) and follow up with personalized communications.
  • Client Issue Resolution:
  • Address concerns and complaints from previous clients by actively listening, demonstrating empathy, and providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve ongoing issues that may have led to client dissatisfaction.
  • Foster client loyalty by transforming negative experiences into positive outcomes through proactive problem-solving and relationship building.
  • Anti-PR Consultations:
  • Conduct comprehensive Anti-PR consultations to educate prospective and past clients on innovative PR strategies that challenge traditional media practices.
  • Analyze prospect, past client and client needs, diagnose challenges, and recommend personalized Anti-PR solutions to enhance brand positioning.
  • Document consult findings and communicate actionable recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking:
  • Maintain meticulous records of all client interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to forecast sales metrics, track pipeline status, and gather client feedback.
  • Monitor performance against upselling targets, providing regular updates and insights to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborative Efforts:
  • Work closely with the Delivery division to ensure alignment in messaging and client strategy.
  • Participate in strategy meetings to integrate upsell initiatives with ongoing PR efforts and client objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the public relations or communications industry.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and achieving sales targets, particularly in upselling and cross-selling.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Hub Spot, and experience in managing sales activities within such platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client conversations and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client needs, diagnose challenges, and recommend tailored PR solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
