About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the Mc Kellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

About the Role

We are recruiting to a Registrar position for a Paediatric or Psychiatry Registrar for our new Medical Eating Disorder service for the 2024 medical year (3-4 months). Pending accreditation for developmental and psychosocial training.

Suitable for either a Paediatric or Psychiatry Registrar who is already registered with APHRA. Unaccredited registrars also considered.

You’ll be part of a 20-strong junior paediatric team supported by an engaged consultant group.

Clinical duties primarily focussed within the new Paediatric Medical Eating Disorder service, as part of a new commitment to invest in the expansion of medical services of young people with eating disorders.

For Paediatric Registrar this position could potentially be accredited for trainees in Victorian Paediatric Training as General Paediatrics (with a perinatal component), subject to capacity to integrate responsibilities within our acute paediatric inpatient service (24 bed general paediatric inpatient ward and 13 bed Level 5 Special Care Nursery, both based at University Hospital Geelong).
