About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the Mc Kellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

About the role

The People Analytics SME will play a critical role in the successful implementation of the People Analytics module and a cross-functional Human Resources (HR) Reporting Solution into People Plus. People Plus is a multi-tenanted human resources information system (HRIS) for several Health Services in the Barwon South West.

This position is designed to lead the development and optimization of reporting and analytics functions within the HRIS, ensuring that data-driven insights are readily available to support strategic decision-making across invested Health Services. The SME will collaborate with various stakeholders—including clinical, non-clinical, and corporate teams—to identify reporting needs, design effective dashboards, and implement best practices in data analysis. By leveraging advanced HR reporting and analytics capabilities, the SME will empower leaders and managers to make informed decisions that enhance workforce management, improve employee engagement, and drive overall organizational performance.

The People Analytics SME will work on cross modular interfaces such as recruitment, Professional Development Review (PDR), Employee Central, onboarding and off boarding as well as Employee Central payroll, and learning management systems.

This role will leverage their expertise to collaborate with various stakeholders, develop best practices, and enhance the overall employee experience by streamlining HR processes, ensuring compliance, and driving the strategic goals of the People and Culture team and every Barwon Health employee.
