About the Role:
We have a new opportunity for an Administration Officer to join our team at our brand-new Icon Cancer Centre in The Bays, Mornington. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of administrative services, providing exceptional customer service to all patients, their carers', our doctors and clinical staff, and other external stakeholders. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming patients, collecting, and entering personal details
• Scheduling appointments
• Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
• Setting up consulting rooms
• Entering and processing patient billing (Private Health and Medicare)
• Discussion financial consent with patients
• Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients
• Collecting, maintaining and managing patient information
• Modelling and promoting Icon's vision and values.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a similar medical/healthcare administration role
• Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Insurance billing models
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise
• Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written
• Ability to use computer systems – competence required in Word and Excel, with practice management software experience highly desirable
• Delivery of excellent client service (to internal and/or external clients)
• Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology
