Position: Full-Time Mechanic Location: Bellevue Hill, NSW 2023 Role: Diagnose, repair, and maintain light vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• At least three years of relevant experience or formal qualifications
• Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be needed
• Registration or licensing may be required
• Proven expertise in light vehicle mechanics
• Relevant certifications (Certificates 3 and 4 in Light Vehicle Mechanical preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Fault Detection and Diagnosis: You'll be responsible for identifying and diagnosing issues in vehicle engines and their various parts, using your expertise to pinpoint problems accurately.
• Mechanical Dismantling and Repairs: This role involves dismantling engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vehicle components. You'll need to repair and replace worn or defective parts, and then reassemble the mechanical components, following service manuals when necessary.
• Scheduled Maintenance Services: Regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups will be part of your routine. These services ensure vehicles run smoothly and comply with pollution regulations.
• Testing and Adjusting Parts: After completing repairs, you will test and adjust mechanical parts to ensure they are working correctly and optimally.
• Computer-Assisted Diagnostics: Utilizing computer systems to aid in diagnosing and testing vehicle parts, ensuring you can provide accurate and efficient service.
• Vehicle Inspections and Certification: Part of your responsibilities will include inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet roadworthiness standards and issuing necessary certificates or detailing work needed to achieve roadworthiness.
