Adept Advisory is a Melbourne based company providing accounting and business advisory services to clients located throughout metropolitan Melbourne.
We’re seeking an experienced book keeper. The role is 1-3 hours per day, 3-5 days per week, and offers flexibility of hours & work location.

• The position:

- To accurately maintain records of financial nature, posting accurate information into accounting software.

• Tasks include:

a) Maintenance of the accounts of various clients including:
- Reconciling bank account transactions in accounting software, including processing of receipts & payments to the debtors and creditors ledger.
- Reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintaining accurate accounts data including General ledger, bank reconciliation & Profit & Loss and Balance sheet preparation.
- Preparation of quarterly and monthly lodgement requirements.
- Liaising with clients as necessary.
b) Preparing information for the practise owner.

• Skills required:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including word / excel / outlook.
- The ability to work independently.
- Proven experience with bookkeeping.
- Experienced in using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB etc.

- Local bookkeeping experience: 18 months (Preferred)

- Remote. However Melbourne based location preferred as occasional face to face meetings may be required.
