Substation cafe is a well established cafe business that proud itself for the excellent quality of food, coffee and service it offers . We are looking for creative and talented Chefs and cooks to join our growing teams in both our Rosebery location .
We are flexible to offer a Full time or Part time position.
Qualifications & experience
- Requirements:
- At least 3 years of employment experience as a breakfast & Lunch chef .
- Certificate 4 and up in commercial cookery is an advantage .
- Will be able to work at least one weekend day (ideally both weekend days ).
- Creativity and passion for food .
- Good English communication skills,
- Assist in managing the smooth operation of the kitchen (7 days operation) .
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task .
- Prepare and cook food, daily specials and catering.
- Assure the quality and consistency of the dishes are kept .
- food orders management and control .
- Assist the head chef in creating and planning seasonal menu ( Check our instagram @substationcafe) .
- Follow and enforce hygiene regulations
- Assist in managing the kitchen team efficiently and with positive energy.
Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
