Job Title: Butcher
Status: Full-Time
Salary - $80,000-$100,000 per annum
Location: Sydney, NSW
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team at Birchan Pty Ltd (Vic's Premium Quality Meat Sydney Retail Pty Ltd). The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing our premium meat products to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:

• Expertly breaking, cutting, and portioning meat as per daily worksheets or under the direction of senior butchery staff or management.
• Regularly assessing stock levels and the aging of meat to minimise carry forwards and reduce wastage.
• Promptly communicating any meat quality or specification issues to senior staff or management.
• Completing all tasks in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
• Assisting fellow butchers with their tasks and job sheets when required.
• Supporting daily cleaning and maintenance of the factory and helping butchering colleagues with end-of-day cleaning and factory closure.
• Adhering to the Company’s HACCP, Work, Health & Safety (WH&S), and Quality Assurance Guidelines.
• Reporting any workplace accidents to the First Aid Officer and logging incidents in the Accident Logbook.

Relevant Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Meat Processing or an equivalent qualification.

Relevant Skills:

• Proactive and motivated with a positive attitude.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.

Relevant Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter (preferred).
