Found in 1998 in the heart of Sydney, Australia, Mind Champs International Preschool & Early Learning (“Mind Champs”) is a pathbreaking Preschool and early childhood education with 86 centres operating globally in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar.
We are currently seeking an experienced Childcare Cook to join our close-knit and supportive team in Mascot, NSW.
This is a permanent Full-time position 5 days a week, fixed Monday to Friday (non-negotiable).
The hours are slightly flexible, you will be doing 38 hrs per week on an average - 7.6 hours a day from 7.30AM - 4PM. (approx.)
As a Childcare Cook, your core responsibilities will include the following:

• Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines.
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals that are culturally appropriate for children 0-6 years.
• Provide for/or supplement alternative foods/beverages for children with allergies or special food/dietary requirements.
• Prepare weekly stock take and ordering.
• Maintain and ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene such as cleaning and washing.
• Ensure all meals and snacks are ready by the time specified by the Director.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook
• Previous experience in cooking for in an Aged care, hospital or Childcare set up (desirable)
• Relevant Commercial Cookery/Hospitality qualifications (preferred)
• A current Working with Children Check
• Food Handling and Safety Supervisory Certificate
• Basic understanding of allergies, dietary requirements, and Nutrition
• Experience in preparing and cooking nutritiously balanced meals in bulk quantities
