About the Role

As a Cook, you'll need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable multitasking to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a full time position.
You will also be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Pre-service kitchen preparation
• Preparation of all ingredients and menu items
• Maintaining food safety, WHS and HACCAP standards
• Responsible for ensuring the kitchen is always a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
• Assume some responsibility of all kitchen duties, ordering and compliance.

Please note, our cafe is located within Wollongong Hospital. This is a fulltime position, Monday - Friday (6:30am - 2:30pm).
Please mote, this position is paid in accordance with the Fast Food Industry Award, classified as a Level 2. The standard adult hourly pay rate in line with this level is $27.17. Please confirm your hourly salary expectations in your application.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

• 1- 2 Years of food preparation and presentation experience within a hospitality environment
• Food Safety Supervisor certification is desired.
• HACCP & food safety knowledge
• Experience managing stock control and costs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for food and beverage.
