About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide an effective and efficient daily service, in the preparation through to the production of all patient meals requirements for our Rehabilitation dining rooms and short order cooking for surgical ward.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Provide a consistent high standard of food preparation, cooking and presentation including short order cooking for the patient meals while maintaining a high standard of time management and stock control.
• To ensure that the highest standards in food Safety, food quality and personal hygiene are maintained at all times. Comply with the STARS Food Safety Management System at all times. Immediately report any food safety hazards or issues to the Supervisor/ Manager.
• Display excellent communication and customer service skills at all times, including the provision of timely, courteous and efficient service.
• Display helpful and supportive behaviour towards team members at all times in order to meet department needs.
• Work independently and use initiative to prevent or to resolve problems that arise in a busy food service kitchen environment.
