Our Credit Operations team is integral to the success of our business at Wisr, and this is the opportunity for an experienced Credit Analyst to join the team in a key role, responsible for assessing and making decisions on consumer applications for unsecured and secured asset finance loans. This could include loan purposes such as debt consolidation, motor vehicles, renovations and more.
This is not an ordinary credit position - you will be granted a high level of autonomy, responsibility and freedom to make decisions. This role is also responsible for ensuring risk and customer credit worthiness is assessed in alignment with Wisr’s Credit Policy within relevant agreed time frames.
Common activities will include:

Assess and make credit decisions on personal loan applications, ensuring information is accurate and genuine - Analyse financial documents including, but not limited to, bank statements, rental statements and tax returns
- Verify and validate that all regulatory and lending policies are adhered to
- Perform serviceability checks as well as ID and Fraud verification
- Communicates with brokers and customers when needed for decision making
- Ensure compliance with NCCP, RG209, Privacy Act and AML/CTF
- Supporting and coaching team members as needed
- Contribute to process and policy improvements within the company operations
About You
With a minimum 3+ years experience in a similar role, you’re a confident decision maker who can work in a high volume, ever-changing environment. You’ll also:

Currently hold a Delegated Lending Authority of at least $50,000 required. This is a box you need to tick! - Have a sound working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer lending
- Be able to make decisions quickly and confidently
- Be highly organised and adaptable to change
- Have strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
